Hardcover. Condition: Very Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Fine. Price Clipped. John Craxton (illustrator). First Edition/First Printing. Owners name to front pastedown, a very clean bright copy, signed 'Patrick Leigh Fermor' to the title page. "This was a private account of an Andean journey organised and led by Robin Fedden in 1971. As I had no particular task during the journey, except looking after the Primas stove, I wrote down a rough and ready description of our doings in the form of three long letters to my wife Joan in Greece, the last of which was never posted as I finished it in the plane just before we landed in England. I've cut out one or two irrelevant passages, topped and tailed it a bit, but not too much, and generally tidied it up to make it more presentable as a sort of memento of the journey. P.L.F. Messenia, Greece 1991". Signed Without Inscription. Book.
