Smith studied in Edinburgh under the man whom classmate Arthur Conan Doyle used as a pattern for Sherlock Holmes. Smith went out to Cairo and started the Pathology department of the Egyptian Police Department. On to England, cases involving Sir Bernard Spilsbury and others, a lifetime fighting crime. Here is his memoir - well told. Clean, tight, firm, minimal shelfwear - tiny spots of wear at the bottom spine-end and leading corners - that's it. There is no dust jacket.
