Cloth & Boards. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition. A beautiful First Edition (so stated) of the sequel to "The Times of My Life," inscribed by Mrs. Gerald R. (Betty) Ford in the year of publication on the front free endpaper (To Gene Crismon, All the best to you, Betty Ford, Mar. 31, 1987). In fine black & dark green cloth & boards, the book is in fine unread condition but for two small spots on the top edge. The dustjacket is complete with the original price ($16.95) and in fine condition but for slight lightening to the spine and a touch of wear at the edges. Protected by an archival plastic cover. While in the White House, Betty Ford was an outspoken pioneer and crusader in addressing issues of addiction, women's rights and cancer treatment, having suffered addiction to painkillers, alcoholism and breast cancer. This book is the sequel to her first book, The Times of My Life," her autobiography of her time in the White House and shortly after, that concludes in 1978 with her family's intervention and her treatment at the Long Beach Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Service. This book basically picks up where this book leaves off. A lovely book and signature by an admirable woman. Near Fine+ in Archival Plastic Cover.
