About the Author:
A native Midwesterner, Thomas Huhti has spent most of his life with a backpack strapped to his back and with feet permanently itchy. His terminal case of "anywhere-but-here" has led him to contribute research and writing to new books or updates of books on China, Thailand, Burma, the Philippines, French Polynesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Canada, and every nook and cranny of the United States. Somewhere along the way, he contracted homesickness, and so in recent years has been refocusing on his roots, tooling around in his trusty Taurus wagon--the "Running Bull." Trustier still is co-pilot Bobo the Yellow Lab, who happily reports Minnesota's forests to be eminently sniffable and each and every one of the state's 10,000 lakes highly, highly swimmable!
Review:
Huhti is a chatty guide with a love of trivia: the perfect road trip companion. -- Tim Bewer, author of Wisconsin's Outdoor Treasures, Acorn Guide to Northwest Wisconsin, and Moon Handbooks Minnesota
