About the Author:
Elizabeth Peters is a prolific and successful writer of over 50 books. She is internationally celebrated for her mystery stories (especially those featuring her indomitable Victorian heroine, Amelia Peabody). She earned her PhD in Egyptology from University of Chicago's famed Oriental Institute. Named Grandmaster at the Anthony Awards in 1986 and Grandmaster by the Mystery Writers of America in 1998, in 2003, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Malice Domestic Convention. She lives in an historic farmhouse in Frederick, Maryland, with six cats and two dogs.
