Once Upon a Parsnip - Hardcover

Barbara Jean Hicks, a.k.a. Barbara Jean the Story Queen, is no stranger to vegetable tales. In addition to Once Upon a Parsnip, she penned the gleeful Monsters Don't Eat Brocolli (Knopf). She is the author of six additional picture books, including the Frozen companion book A Sister More Like Me(Disney Press). She lives in Northwest Washington state and travels extensively to present Young Author and Family Literacy programs in schools. Kevin R. Wood is crazy for vegetables. One of his many hobbies is taking pictures of veggies, and he once curated a slide show of his 140 favorite broccoli-related photographs and set up a broccoli museum in his office. He has also worked in a vegetable cannery. Now he works for Seattle Public Schools, making reading and writing as much fun as possible for students who are learning English. Once Upon a Parsnip is his first picture book.
