Are you a more introverted leader? If you're like fifty percent of the population who identifies as introverts, you already know the struggle. In the West, it can be difficult for introverts to rise as leaders within organizations. They are constantly told to be more outgoing, happier, and better on-the-spot thinkers. Basically, they're encouraged to become extroverts. Introvert Revolution confronts the cultural myth that extroversion is the only version of leadership, helping you grow more into the authentic leader you were meant to become. To be real, to be vulnerable, to be authentic is to let your true self be seen and known, to no longer hide as shame wants you to, but to dare greatly, to be courageous. This is the kind of authenticity we as introverted leaders need to pursue, not just for ourselves but for those we lead and serve. Get to know yourself better as an introvert and understand the bilogical differences that make you the way you are. Join the journey toward personal growth and self-acceptance. Learn how to become a more effective leader, doing so authentically and in harmony with the extroverted leaders around you. There is a brighter and more authentic future as a leader. It begins with personal revolution. It begins with you.

Review:
Introvert Revolution is an empowerment tool. By dissecting introversion into multiple theoretical and biological perspectives, Andy Johnson has created an excellent vehicle to persuade the notoriously hard-to-convince introverts that embracing introversion opens a treasure trove of signature strengths just waiting to be embraced and developed. It is an intellectually and experientially accessible book, providing a combination of rationale, examples and exercises to explore and overcome unconsciously internalized beliefs that can hold us back, like shame and doubt. The exercises are not only good opportunities to value individual differences but they enhance skills of mindfulness and gratitude that reap positive benefits on their own accord. --Pamela Rutledge, Ph.D., MBA, Director Media Psychology Research Center, Faculty Fielding Graduate University

"This well researched and compelling read makes the case for introverted leadership in a unique way. Author Andrew Johnson draws upon his own early career struggles blended with case studies and hard science to help introverts draw upon their authentic yin selves. He lays out a map for introverts to take courageous and practical steps to ramp up their leadership game." --Jennifer Kahnweiler, PhD, Author of "The Genius of Opposites"

"Introvert Revolution is a clarion call to open the eyes and ears of introverts and extroverts alike. In this bias busting book, Andy Johnson contends, one of the biggest challenges lies in reframing perceived weaknesses as strengths and allowing ourselves to reject culturally imposed standards of leadership. Introverts contribute something important to the world as leaders, as history attests. Johnson shares how they can do so authentically, powerfully and even quietly amid our noisy world." --Nancy Ancowitz, Author of "Self Promotion for Introverts"
