Germy Blew the Bugle - Hardcover

Sixth grade is off to a promising start for Jeremy Bluett. His latest get-rich scheme is to create and sell a school newspaper. Jeremy finds that there are many advantages to being an editor, such as having a staff, being excused from classes, and thinking of stories that will interest prospective customers. He also encounters a few problems, such as the apathy and rebellion of his staff and the principal's insistence that there be no charge for the paper. There is also the problem that his stories could at best be described as "yellow journalism." When the paper is distributed, just a few days later than promised, all you - know - what breaks loose. The story is written in a smooth, easily read style. Children will immediately identify with the clearly drawn characters who could have come from any elementary school.
