Abstract “Reagan architect of the End of the Cold War” highlights Reagan’s early encounters in his fight against Soviet Communism both as an actor and as a politician. It analyzes his interactions with Soviet leaders and his policies towards the Soviet Union during his presidency. This analysis shows his policies had a major impact and an integral part in the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War. Using National Security Committee documents, National Security Decisions Directives and valuable information from a wide array of sources to show that Reagan’s policies were a major factor in the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War.
