Deborah Moggach is the author of many successful novels including Tulip Fever, the recent film adaptation of which stars Alicia Vikander, and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, which was made into two very popular movies starring Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, and Maggie Smith.
