The ideas and specific activities are designed for instant use by classroom teachers and families, with a format that is practitioner-friendly. Special features of the text include plans for implementing a family involvement program, sample ideas and activities for involving fathers, and sample newsletters and activities for at-home involvement. Review:
I like the strong research base that the text is based on and the age span covered coincides with the scope of the early childhood license. The organization of the book is excellent and the specific activities for teachers to utilize will be useful material."
This book gives detail on how to actually work with parents and get them involved in early childhood education unlike any other book on the market currently.
I would adopt this text and if regular editions were published, I would continue to use the text for multiple years.
The organization of the chapters seems logical and I believe the major topics for a text with this focus are covered.
