Kody Bateman was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He first became a student of personal development at age sixteen when he read Dale Carnegie s book, How to Win Friends and Influence People. Since that time, he has always wanted to be an influence for good in people s lives by helping them live positive and successful lives. Kody received a bachelors degree in marketing and started his career working for an advertising agency in New York. He returned to Utah after taking an executive marketing position with a food service company. In 1991, Kody was first exposed to network marketing. He embraced this unique business concept and has loved it ever since. In 1994, he started a telecommunications company that delivered services to network marketing companies and their distributors. With this business, Kody had a unique opportunity to learn from top executives and distributors from numerous network marketing companies.
