About the Author:
Shea Megale is a twelve year old author! She has written an imaginative six book series about her companion dog Mercer. She is afflicted with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and is in a power wheelchair. She lives her life in the most positive of ways, everyone will learn something from her infectious spirit.

This series is a winner. I first saw Shea on the Today Show and she will move you with her story and her love of life. I will collect all six of these because in this day and age, we need more role models like Shea and her mother Megan. This book is adorable. The illustrations are precious as well. I am familiar with Shea and had seen her at a launch at Build a Bear and got an opportunity to speak to her. What an inspiration. To have such challenges in one's life and to be able to face them in the manner in which she does, wow wow wow is all I can say.
