Vonnie Winslow Crist was born and raised in the Baltimore metropolitan area. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Art-Education from Towson State University, she taught art for the Community Services Division of both Catonsville and Essex Community Colleges. Vonnie is a member of the National League of American Pen Women in Art and Letters and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She currently resides in Harford County, Maryland with her husband and their three children.
