About the Author:
Peter Vacher has been writing about jazz since 1960. He contributed to The Grove Dictionary of Jazz, provides jazz obituaries for The Guardian newspaper in London, writes liner notes for record companies and continues to contribute numerous articles and reviews to publications in Britain and North America. He co-authored Telling It Like It Is, the autobiography of clarinetist Joe Darensbourg and wrote a chapter on swing saxophonists for Masters of Jazz Saxophone. He lectures regularly on jazz and blues and is a director of the UK organisation, Jazz Services.
