From School Library Journal:
PreSchool-In this beautifully designed book, vibrant graphic art is coupled with a short and sweet rhyming text to produce a lively introduction to things that go. From an airplane to a wheelchair to a cable car to a wagon, many different modes of transportation are presented. Some double-page spreads use a series of panels to show individual vehicles, while others contain only one or two larger items, such as a jet and a car. Each image is accompanied by either a single identifying word or a short sentence. The catchy phrase "Away we go!" will have listeners chanting along. Featuring concrete, precisely drawn pictures with contrasting colors and bright solid backgrounds, these dynamic pages will appeal to and attract the attention of an active toddler audience. This title combines an old-fashioned look with a sophisticated sensibility. Retro at its best.
