When I was a high school player in Lyons, New York, Bob Duffy was a nearby legendary player. Later in my life I see why he was so successful in many ways (academic, coaching, business, and, most importantly, philanthropy.) A great instructional read.—Jim Boeheim, Basketball Hall of Famer and head coach of the men's basketball team at Syracuse University
Bob Duffy had amazing opportunities during his time as an NBA player, but that’s just one aspect of a longer, inspirational story.
It began when Duffy was still a little kid, dreaming of one day playing professional basketball in Madison Square Garden. Despite being told that he wasn’t “college material,” Duffy would prove everyone wrong and not only matriculate at Colgate University but launch several long and successful careers—all made possible by his grit and determination.
In Make It Happen!,Duffy and co-author Natalie June Reilly tell the tale of how he went from an unassuming kid in Katonah, New York, to an NBA basketball player, wildly successful businessman, and philanthropist. Duffy had the inner strength and the outer support needed to “make it happen,” and he hopes to inspire you to do the same in your life.
