Laura Purdie Salas is the author of many works of nonfiction and poetry for children published by smaller presses. She teaches writing at the renowned Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis and offers courses through her website: laurasalas.com. She lives with her family in Minnesota, and this is her first book for Clarion Books. Her next picture book poetry collection for us will be "Bookspeak: Poems by and About Books (Fall, 2011). Steven Salerno lives and works in New York City. Steven creates illustrations for magazines and advertising -and to date has also illustrated 30 popular picture books for children, with 5 of these titles as both the author & illustrator. He is a graduate of Parsons School of Design in NYC.
