From School Library Journal:
PreS-Gr 5–The 50-plus crafts in this book have multiple variations and are separated into six categories: “bric-a-brac,” “stationery,” “scented gifts,” “floral garden gifts,” “accessories,” and “edible treats.” Several of them have obvious uses for Christmas but most will work for a variety of situations. An introductory section is addressed to adults whose help is encouraged and noted throughout the process. The numbered instructions are mostly clear but some would benefit from more photos. A “time needed” indication, a suggested age range, and additional tips are included. The lists of ingredients/materials reveal the title's English origin with items like caster and frosting sugar, dessicated coconut, and “toy filling.” Templates for tracing are included. Although the crafts aren't unique, the book is a worthy addition.–Carol S. Surges, formerly at Longfellow Middle School, Wauwatosa, WIα(c) Copyright 2013.
