But her parents aren't angry; they have just returned with a new pot for the tree. In the second story, Kate is teased by her cousin at the beach. The third story concerns a visit from Grandma, who is the only one who recognizes what Kate has drawn. In the last vignette, Grandma leaves Kate with a special gift. Chorao gets it just right. Both text and art are humorous yet heartwarming, and Kate's concerns are right on target for new readers.
