From the Back Cover:
The complete, authoritative guide to the powerful new Web translation technology
XSLT
Professional Developer's Guide
XSLT offers a fast, efficient, relatively simple way to transform XML documents into other XML formats, or any of the other languages currently used for presenting Web content, including HTML, XHTML, and WML. Among other things, this means that now, with XSLT, you no longer have to create separate content versions for presentation in different formats.
Written by professionals who have been intensively working with XSLT projects, this is the first guide for Web developers, wireless programmers, and content designers on how to use this breakthrough technology.
With the help of numerous clear examples, authors Johan Hjelm and Peter Stark provide expert, step-by-step guidance on how to:
* Create transformation sheets that guide the XSLT translation process
* Make XML work with any content and for any wired or wireless device
* Make simple transformations between formats
* Use XSLT with XML, HTML, XHTML, WML, and other common standards
The CD-ROM contains:
* Transformation engine
* Authoring tools
* Transformation sheets for a number of Web formats
