What-did you think all vamps were pale, thin and brooding? Don't I wish.
Gloriana St. Clair is an eternally "full-figured" vampire-she just happened to be bloating when a sexy Scotsman sank his teeth into her. She and said Scot-Angus Jeremiah Campbell III, aka Jeremy Blade-have been on and off again for centuries, currently off. A couple hundred years has taught them how to press each other's buttons-in good ways and bad.
Glory's headed for Austin and a new business venture: Vintage Vamp's Emporium. After all, she loves clothes, and she is an antique. Only problem is, there's a billionaire techno-freak vampire hunter on the loose. Blade's in total he-vampire mode, and wants Glory to move in with him so he can "protect" her. But it's time for this vamp to explore her own powers

From the Author:
This is where the Real Vampires series all began. I had an idea that vampires had to be people first, before they were turned. So I created Gloriana St. Clair. As I write this character, I always picture her as a woman who worries about her figure flaws (she was bloating when she was turned in 1604) and has the typical job and boyfriend problems that any modern woman faces. Luckily readers seem to relate to Glory and she's picked up steam. Now I'm on book nine in the series which will come out in early 2013. But no worries. Each book can be read as a stand alone. I work really hard at making that possible. So dive into Glory's world, Austin, Texas, modern day or rather night. Yes, Austin's weird and we love it that way.
From the Back Cover:
I love Austin and it's where I went to college. With a motto like "Keep Austin Weird", it seemed natural to set my vampire series there. They also have an annual Bat Festival and a colony of bats live under the bridge on Congress Avenue. I've placed Glory's shop on famous Sixth Street, a popular venue for clubs and hangouts for the college crowd as well as workers at the nearby state capitol building. Even the castle where my character Damian lives is based on a real house near Sixth Street. I had fun travelling to Austin to soak up the atmosphere so I hope you enjoy the flavor of one of my favorite cities. And, yes, it is a techie hot spot. Billionaire vamp hunters? Unlikely, but you never know...
